Christmas is over! Now write a thank you card.
I can’t even tell you how important this is. Picking out gifts for anyone is a stressful, expensive and tiring enterprise. Even if you don’t like the gifts you’ve received, show the people in your life you love them. Write a thank you card. Thank you cards are super inexpensive, and all you have to do is write a line or two about how thankful you are for the gift.
Tiny Prints has a card you can fill in. Purchase them here: http://www.tinyprints.com/product/3491/thank_you_cards_grateful_girl.html
I know that most people only think to do this after their wedding; however, a well-timed thank you card can strengthen any relationship. When I was a little girl, my mother made all of us sit down and write out carefully crafted thank you cards in our best penmanship BEFORE we had a chance to play with the toys we received. It was torturous, but I’m grateful that she instilled this within me.
Giving a gift is usually an act of love; graciously receiving a gift is an act of love as well. Be thoughtful.
